WE ARE HERE!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t believe it, but we made it with all our luggage, sanity and extreme fatigue. I am excited, nervous and a little dazed today. My first experience with India was in the Mumbai airport where of course we knew nothing of what we were doing. We hopped in cabs with these crazy drivers (and you all thought I couldn’t drive!) and then were on our way to our domestic flight. I was a little scared at first of the gun toting security guards at the airport but that’s okay we made it. I washed my hair at the airport with a coke bottle in the bathroom – I could be on a traveler show – keep an empty bottle handy! We met our hosts which were all very accomodating and friendly as well as crazy drivers. Breakfast was an odd combination of curried chickpeas and cocoa flakes (a great version of cocoa krispies – my saving grace I believe) and then shower, sleep and email!! Ahhhh sleep, sleep and more sleep – I want it. We may go to the movies tonight with our hosts. Talk to you soon.
